So, Rhonda has generously offered to set up this space for us to get started on the Mock IEP Curriculum that will (eventually) accompany the Mock IEP dvd that we filmed last fall at Marquette. This IEP dvd has taken on a life of it's own, meaning that there are people all over the country who want to get their hands on this product. I can't let that happen, until there is a curriculum to go along with the dvd. I feel pretty strongly that I have an obligation to make the product complete before letting it go into the universe.
I have asked Rhonda and Carolyn to help me with this project because I feel that between the three of us we have the resources (intellectual, technological, and financial [FACETS]) to make the product really great. I think that we may decide to open the process up to others at some point, but I would like to keep the inital workgroup small, for efficiency sake.
If you two have different ideas about how we should do this, please post about them. I think that we will need to schedule at least one face to face meeting. I would like to go through the IEP video and talk about some finer points of the product. My goal is to have this product finished and ready to roll out by the end of October 2009.
Thanks to both of you in advance, this is going to be a learning experience for all of us and I am very excited!
